Biography
I have dedicated 40 years to the practice of medicine and surgery. After medical school I obtained my General Surgery board certification from the Nuevo Leon University in Monterrey Mexico. This was followed by a research fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer institute Buffalo NY. Subsequently, I continued my education at Health Cleveland (Fairview General Hospital, Akron Children's hospital, Metro Trauma Center and Cleveland Clinic) as well as laparoscopic training at the Ohio State University. I have been in private and hospital practice for 25 years and currently cover general /acute care, vascular, trauma and pediatric surgery for 3 hospitals as well as performing elective procedures and bariatric practice. I am currently the President of the Texas association of Bariatric Surgeons.
