Biography

Mouza T. Goova, MD, FACS is a General and Bariatric Surgeon with more than twenty years of experience. Dr. Mouza received her medical education and initial surgical training at the First Leningrad Medical Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia. She also attained Post Doc research and completed another General Surgery Residency Program at the Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons affiliated Hospitals in New York. Lastly, she completed a two year-fellowship in Advanced Minimally invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. She has been extensively involved in research of innovative surgical techniques including scar-less surgery using magnetic instrumentation. Dr. Goova has co-authored multiple scientific articles and book chapters.
